Antique Furniture Restoration
When we first receive a new piece of furniture in our studio,
we assess it for its underlying potential.
We will first examine the structure of the piece to determine

Finishing
We have gained our
customers’ total confidence, because we respect the
history of their furniture. Before the refinishing process
begins, quality materials are selected which will best
reconstruct the piece. |
Depending on the desired look, a variety of refinishing
techniques may be applied. At times, the original finish is
enhanced to retain the integrity and authenticity. Other
times a piece may be stripped down to bare wood and a new finish
applied.
To polish the antique furniture, shellac is applied by hand,
which is an arduous process and the most difficult step in
refinishing. The shellac must be spread evenly with a
consistent application to ensure a flawless finish.

As an extension to our
antique furniture restoration, we also offer re-upholstery
services using old fashion materials and techniques.
